We don’t do much to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries around here. Every year, I make a vow to change that because I really do think it is a good habit to celebrate special days–it is just not one that we have gotten into. This year for our 12th anniversary, I made Aaron homemade cheese crackers. Yep, that’s it. I may have purchased him his favorite beer to enjoy with them–I really can’t remember.
These crackers are really special and so easy to make. Not only do you get to control exactly what goes into them, you can adapt the recipe to add whatever special flavors you like. A little garlic, a little dill, maybe even some spice!
Basically, you make a dough of butter, cheese and flour. Roll it out.
Cut it up (using a pizza cutter).
Bake and let cool. Very simple.
The only problem is that you might be making these all day. They are so good and eaten so quickly.
Hope you enjoy!
