Raspberries, Sour Cream & Brown Sugar

Mmmm.  Raspberries.  Sour Cream.  Brown Sugar.

That’s it.

I found this recipe on Lottie+Doof and I thought, “It can’t possibly be good.”  But, the way it was raved about made me want to try it.  Normally, I stay away from sour cream and though I love raspberries–I usually want them in my oatmeal or cold.

This recipe was going out on a limb for me.  I was pleasantly surprised.

Here is what you do:

Gather ingredients.  Brown sugar, sour cream, raspberries.

Add a layer of raspberries to a heat proof dish.  (All of our ramekins have been adopted as cat food dishes so I was stuck with this retro thing.)

Cover the berries with a layer of sour cream and then sift (or sprinkle) a nice layer of brown sugar over the top.

Broil for about 10 minutes or until the brown sugar has caramelized.

Eat hot.  Or cold.  Just eat it.  It is amazing.
