Space Shuttle Endeavour’s Final Launch

In Featured, Featured2, Fun by admin1 Comment

Yesterday, we dropped out of our regular life-no work, no school, no cleaning, no cooking to rush over to the East Coast of Florida to watch the final launch of Space Shuttle Endeavor.

We paid way too much money for a place to stay on Cocoa Beach (review coming soon) and decided to wake up at our leisure, watch the launch from the beach and play in the waves.  We wanted to have a low key day. We also wanted to witness history in the making—but we didn’t feel like fighting the crowds to do so.

We could have had a better view if we had tried a bit harder and woke up earlier to find our spot.  We were just fine where we were.  We heard the roar, saw the ball of fire, and cheered along with everyone on the beach. Instead of waiting in traffic–we went for a nice long beach walk and a quick surf.

What a refreshing way to begin the week!
